Funny thing, Sylvester Studlone wears a man's girdle to hold in his protruding stomach hernia so as to make movies and attend gala actors events... As kids we use to pedal those torture devices and didn't complain barefoot. Me and my brother confronted a guy going into a ladies restroom and I asked him if he had a disabled family member inside and if he didn't then he was going to get the stomping of his miserable life. He tried to leave, he got the stomping...
That looks like my truck. I used to ride those pedals while barefoot. I was usually barefoot, the exception being church. Teacher would presently come along to say girls in dresses don't climb on the bars.

Rick, I didn't ride those pedals barefoot often, but on the 4 1/2 mile trip to the beach, we would wrap the pedals in old towels.
