Growing up, we had a windmill that pumped water into two tanks, one next to the wind mill [supply tank] and one in the attic of the three story farm house. If the cover was lifted on either you would have found a goodly number of dead spiders and multiple other dead bugs and the supply tank also featured moss. Somehow it didn't kill us or make us sick, but the same couldn't be said for some of the city cousins.
