#1 Good chuckle. I might actually like one of those. :D
#2 My cat would have learned not to do that by the end of the first year.
#3 She may have had some things done to make her feel better; but her heart is in the right place.
#4 Hahahahaha!!! #5 Sort of funny... #6. Hehe. #7 Presuming she has a touch screen? #8 LOL! #9 ..... #10 Don't think I ever saw a helicopter like that before. Thanks for these, Odie. You all be safe and God bless.
edutcher, I looked it up and it looks more like the Hughes 269. the shape of the door, fuel tank to the rear of Frank, and the roll bar looking thing over the dome all look like the hughes.
Put it here ... I can't wait to read it. I have the Captcha turned OFF but blogger insists it be there. You should be able to bypass it.

#10 The helicopter is a Hughes 269. The US Army used them to train pilots during the Vietnam war.

Believe that chopper is an old Bell from the 50s.
DeleteLinda, according to Anon and edutcher, you have a choice. I don't know myself.
DeleteAl, I used to see them a lot in Vietnam, but we called them bumblebees.

DeleteThe civilian version of the chopper is a Hughes 300. The Hughes 500 was bigger, and was the one T.C. flew in "Magnum, P.I.".
DeleteFWIW There used to be a show called Whirlybirds back in the 50s and they used a chopper just like that. The extent of my knowledge.
Deletedrjim, We'll get this yet ... Thank you.
Deleteedutcher, our stories are very much alike.
DeleteThe closest I ever got to one is the Army wanting me to enlist for five years as a warrant officer to fly them.
You May be cool, but you're not Frank Sinatra stepping out of a helicopter holding a glass of whiskey cool!
ReplyDeleteAnon, that's the line ... thank you!
DeleteMiss Dolly's had some work done.
ReplyDeleteAaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!
That little techie vignette between kids and old people has been going on for 80 years.
And, yes, the Chairman blew the doors off the rest of the cats when it came to cool.
edutcher, he sure was the coolest.
DeleteMiss Dolly is, and always has been, quite a classy lady.
ReplyDeleteSinatra had his own version of "Cool". Different than Steve McQueen "Cool", but just as powerful.
drjim, Dolly is classy in deed.
