Funday Morning ~ Redneck Ingenuity

I'll be damned, that looks like my Troy-Bilt Generator.

Thanks Alex

  1. Good stuff. 2 lug nuts won't get you very far though, in fact three won't get you very far either.

  10. Odie, them bolts make better in-line fuses than .22 LRs.
Especially when they get a little warm!

  11. I had a 72 F100 that had over 300k on it that had saggy springs on the back. I took a 1.5" piece of angle iron and beat it about 3 inches on ether side thin welded it to the lower spring. It did the trick, it stiffened up the ride and it increased the load weight to about 1000 pounds. I sent a piston through the oil pan not long after. It got a built 351 Windsor as a replacement. The transmission blew up two week later. Once the tranny was replaced the rear end went out a month later. I learned the lesson about doubling the HP and tq where the weakest link would break. After replacing the rear end with a F250 unit that was re-lugged to the F100 bolt pattern with most of the F250 springs I had a strong truck. It had a top speed of 118 mph which it could hit about two car lengths before reaching a quarter mile. It was a high 12 second runner in the quarter. I learned the power of a sleeper. I paid for a quarter of college racing that truck.

Put it here ... I can't wait to read it. I have the Captcha turned OFF but blogger insists it be there. You should be able to bypass it.
