Are we GETTING TOO old to DRIVE this Car?
No joke! Scary, but true!
No joke! Scary, but true!
Presenting the New Mercedes Benz SCL 600
Pretty, isn't it?
So? What's different about this car?
Not this...
OR even this...
Here is the real difference
WHOA !
No Steering Wheel
No Pedals either
No Steering Wheel
No Pedals either
You drive this car with a joystick
Do you think that you
can drive with a joystick?
Your kids and grand kids can.
The influence of video games in our lives
has really arrived, wouldn't you say?
But there is more!
The SCARY THOUGHT is:
NOW a 3-YEAR-OLD can STEAL your car
AND DRIVE IT BETTER THAN YOU CAN !

As if I can hit the right buttons on the TV remote.
ReplyDeleteI'd buy one if I could afford it and if it existed as something other than a concept car. Both are pretty big ifs.
ReplyDeleteDamn. I have enough trouble driving at my age with a steering wheel. But a joystick? Not sure that I can learn that method of driving.
ReplyDeleteDapandico, Welcome to Woodsterman. Them remotes is tough business.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, oh come on ... pocket change.
ReplyDeleteAOW, I'll let you in on a little secret. I operated a joystick controlled bucket when I worked for the telephone company on occasion. It was no problem at all, but it didn't move at 100MPH either.
ReplyDeleteThat car is simply TOO COOL. Maybe I will go buy a lottery ticket. (P. S. you ought to check out what happened to you on virtual mirage)
ReplyDeleteLL, go for it. On my way.
ReplyDeleteI drive a Mercedes, but it has pedals and a steering wheel. Thank goodness for that or I'd be in trouble. This would be a BIG learning curve for me.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day Odie. ☺
All I can say when I see a car like that is &^**$ bait.
ReplyDeleteSandee, curves is good.
ReplyDeleteOpie, babelious bait?
ReplyDeleteDo they come in red?
ReplyDeleteI think I could get used to that.
If you learned to fly, wouldn't you have to use one of those, too?
ReplyDeleteAnd you're a half mile off the ground.
(of course, I know some people who drive like that...)
Blimey LOL I don't think I would feel quite as safe in that if someone gave me a lift in it.
ReplyDeleteHave a manualtastic day lol
Race, everything comes in red.
ReplyDeleteEdutcher, I believe fighter jets are the only ones with joysticks.
ReplyDeleteSteve, I think it would take a lot of getting used to. You have a fantabulious day.
ReplyDeleteGives a new meaning to the phrase "Joy Ride". My old joy stick was my grandfathers floor shift on his 1939 Ford. When sitting next to the old man I got to change gears when little.
ReplyDeleteI would not want this car.
ReplyDeleteAs I am not video game savy
I wonder what the passengers would tell the driver of this car - 'Left, left! Right, right! Press 'X'! Press 'O'!' ;o)
ReplyDeleteWOW...
ReplyDeleteImpressive...
I wish there was a better way to look at the console of this Mercedes... From what I see in the last pictures, digital DPRN buttons...
It may get some getting use to but not sure if we folks will fail driving it...
Surely it will be a joy to drive like any Mercedes... :-)
Ron, %#@#$(*& gears.
ReplyDeleteRick, oh come on. What better way to learn than at 70 MPH.
ReplyDeleteAbelle, I haven't a clue, they won't let me drive it.
ReplyDeleteJames, OK?
