#3) I saw this schedule the other day and couldn't believe it. Yeah, I think I only had two vaccinations when I was a kid - Polio (like a sugar cube or something) and TB (the one that leaves the scar on your upper arm). I did have to get MMR for college though. But that's still way way way less than 26. That's outrageous.

I had the Chicken Pox, Measles, and the mumps.
DeleteIIRC the only ones I had were DPT, MMR, and Salk. You had to get sick to be immunized for MMR back then (remember measles and German measles?).
ReplyDeleteedutcher, I only had 2 different polio, TB, and a bunch of tetanus shots (nasty lock jaw).
DeleteI could be wrong, but I only recall tetanus shots if you cut yourself on a rusty nail or a dog bit you.

DeleteI acquired chicken pox immunity through the normal method of getting chicken pox, itching like a mofo for a few days (with calamine lotion applied) and returning to a normal kid. A multinational corporation wasn't needed.
