I can relate to that first one. We dogsat a Jack once and it bounced off the walls.

DeleteOh my God, Jack Russell Terriers are the world champions at self esteem. I once had one of mine tear off my shirt trying to get to four huskies. I would have bet on the huskies but I was running late.

DeleteOur Jack Russell had NO idea he wasn't a big dog. One day, he went on patrol without the pack, he didn't come home. Around here that reason would be coyote or bigger than him, cat. Miss him, so much personality packed into such a compact unit.

ReplyDeleteI'm 72, my wife is 69, we own our own home and pay our own taxes and expect to be able to do so until we're both dead, and intend to pay all those taxes.
Why should other Olde Phartes who were too improvident to buy a smaller house or put aside more money get a free ride? Why can't their kids help out so my kids might inherit something? Why do we want to encourage improvidence? So we can have more of it?
Old people deserve nothing at all from the rest of the populace just because we are old. Being old is not an achievement that deserves a reward.
Anybody who is poor should get our help. Old people who are not poor need to live off their assets until they are poor.
