DeleteActually, MOST of our problems are because billionaires became billionaires using the violence and force of the government to either subsidize their businesses (Musk for one), regulate away their competition, pay for much of their growth (2/3 of all PCs are owned by the government - you don't think that helped out Gates?), or otherwise protect them from the citizens or foreign competition. These actions by the government on behalf of these folks ABSOLUTELY harms all of us. First through debasement of the currency to fund the handouts, then through lack of competition and choice, then through legislation that directly harms us all while helping them, etc. I am a firm believer in free market capitalism, but the presence of a central bank, a massive regulatory state, and a government that micromanages every second of our lives from birth to death is NOT a free market. Crony-capitalism is what we live under.
