Given that the State of Florida has nearly two-thirds of its coastline along the Gulf of Mexico, and the northern boundary of the Gulf is also within American territory, it seems entirely logical to me.

DeleteProperty tax: where you get to pay rent to the government for the privilege of owning something that's already yours. It's like being a feudal lord, minus the lord part and plus the 'being fleeced' part.
