I remember 'grilled hamburgers' in school where the 'grill' marks were painted on. Mostly soy and filler burgers with 100% fake coloring.That was back in the 70's
Beans, my high school, in the early 60's, boiled them and put them on the roof for two days before serving them. No lines were included.
I wondered how they did that.
