You know, after growing up hearing about 'the longest undefended border in the world', and being told about how much we valued our American friends, it is really disappointing to find out the degree to which the Canadian government has taken that relationship for granted.

As a Canadian, I am cheering President Trump on. Imagine, an American president daring to notice the various ways his country's generosity has been taken advantage of, deciding to object, and being told how much of a bully he is being...
How dare these people take exception to the ending of the gravy train!

And I cheer President Trump on, because I know for an absolute fact that there is no point in trying to fix things on this side of the 49th... the system here does not allow meaningful change, and both sides are in it up to their necks.

DeleteAlso, I've been yelling about tariffs against the USA for years. All they do is prop up incompetent and inefficient Canadian producers and mate stuff cost more.
Even worse, Canada essentially has internal tariffs and trade barriers, most of them designed to funnel money to Quebec.
Hey Yanks, why don't you invade and take Quebec off our hands? Please.
Mike, I saw the figures on Canada's Dairy Tariffs, and I about fell over. Your dairy products must be terribly expensive to warrant a 250% tariff on our dairy products.

DeleteOur dairy products are pricey, like everything else here, but I don't think that's what the tariffs we charge our good friends in the US are for... I think it's good old fashioned market protectionism, and it's dreadful that this is how it's been for years and years.

From its appearance this human obviously wants the attention from others it didn't receive from mommy and daddy as a child. (And that's the least of that ones psych problems). AND WE ALLOW IT! These people are insane and we allow them amongst us. Who does this creature represent? Cause im flat out dismissing anything from the 70 yr old with the bright blue hair dye and fucked up coat just on those choices it made. How can anyone look at that and think "yeah, they got their shit together". The world would be a better place if its existence was terminated before it infected anymore kids. That creature is EXACTLY what it appears to be.

DeleteI'm a Canadian, and i've been writing my government since 2005 on the milk tariff. Yes its 270% but we pay for it with obscene milk and cheese prices here. It is in place to protect the Quebec dairy industry. Like all our retarded tariffs it protects 1 of 2 provinces while screwing all the others over.
