      Anon, oh hell, they do that everywhere. Tomorrow it's supposed to snow here. That means the skiers will be up and causing gridlock from their sideways cars.

    Yuba Pass. Curious as to why you posted this photo. It's my 'hometown' pass and on my preferred route from my home to Reno. First over Yuba Pass, then Beckwourth Pass, the lowest pass in all the Sierra (5221 feet).
    It's my favorite because of the beautiful scenery and the lack of traffic. You can relax and enjoy the drive without worrying about being taken out by some pilgrim from the city or fear of being stuck in traffic caused by wrecks on I-80. It may take an hour longer, but it's time well spent.

    Thanks for the picture. I get a warm, fuzzy feeling just looking at it.

      Elmo, That is a nice drive. "Fun" posts are made to bring a smile. It worked didn't it. My pass is the one you don't like. It's the dreaded Donner Pass. I'm really close by.

    We went through a few passes when we were stationed at Beale. I remember one time even chains didn't help. Had to turn around.
