    I was too young at the time to know, but believe the polio vaccines were free.

      I remember getting the vaccine in grade school. We lined up in the hallway and it was administered by the school nurse or a doctor, so I believe it was free, yes.
      Of course there is no free chemo or insulin because you can't infect anyone...
      Or those companies pay too big a kickback to our government?
      I don't know.
