I too remember the first few years of SNL. What a thrill to have political, sexual and other humor in commercial TV. Ahhhh... the good old days!!!

DeleteGreat memes. I was in High School when SNL began, & by the 2nd season, we stopped the Saturday night kegger @ 2300 to all gather round the cathode ray tube, & laugh WITH, SNL.
Unfortunately, as we all know, they became leftarded, lost their way, & weren't worth the time.
Very sad.

DeleteI liked the Land of Gortch muppets. They were raunchy. They didn’t last. After a hiatus their last skit was in a storage room in boxes and filing cabinets. Smoke is pouring out of one cabinet and out comes Zoot, stoned out of his mind. The others had been talking about why they got canned; they weren’t family entertainment. They asked Zoot if he thought they were. “Hell yeah we’re *^*+ing family entertainment!” And that was the end of them. A year later The Muppet Show came out.
