That last kitteh was a hoot - exactly how my Erica kitteh would react.
Thankfully my Frankie doggie won't try to match that doggie jumping over the barricade when I refinish the floor in the dining room. I've discovered sanding sealer and the HUGE difference it makes in refinishing the floor. No more discoloration when the final sealer goes on. Fast dry too. I'm actually looking forward to doing it. I did a patch in the living room and it looks fabulous!
@ Odie - Not sure why I never ran into sanding sealer in all my searching. Know how I discovered it? By a little note on the back of the MinWax Ultimate Floor finish that said for white oak use a sanding sealer to prevent darkening of the wood. Now my parquet is not white oak, but a mixture of woods, but darkening was the problem. Being the smart lady I am I thought, Holy carp - is that the answer?" It was...
Now it's sand or screen (depending on wear), put on sanding sealer, hour later lightly sand and put on first coat of floor finish, 4 to 20 hours later second coat of finish, 24 hours later = done! (at least for light traffic.) 7 days for full cure. I'm in hog heaven!!!
Put it here ... I can't wait to read it. I have the Captcha turned OFF but blogger insists it be there. You should be able to bypass it.
