DeleteI'm Canadian. Trump is saving the US and he is saving Canada too. And I don't think saving Canada is an accident. First, Trump is a truly decent human being. Second a reformed Canada will go back to being a useful ally of the US.
ReplyDeleteThe reformed Canada may not be what it was. I'm Albertan and I want out of Canada as it now exists. Reforming Canada to the point it's useful to the US will not end the voting imbalance that is crushing Alberta.
Are Americans aware that the small Canadian provinces elect 4 times as many Members of Parliament, our version of Congressmen, per person than Alberta and we have no elected senate?
Most Albertans don't want to be 51 because who wants to be in the same country as California and Minnesota?

DeleteThese are the things they have quietly down last month, all are not inspiring confidence in an orderly transfer of power.
1) Carney signed a military treaty with China. The government refuses to release the text of it. Sep2
2) New deal with Ukraine is for 100 years, we give them 1billion a year and Alberta has to sell them oil and gas at a discount, thats the NEP but with a new beneficiary all over again. Sep 10.
3) Carney is accused by US of killing trade deal to drum up support for nationalist side in upcoming referendum. Carney refuses to release text saying Canadians have no need to see the text of the deal.
4) Sep 9, Canadian military is re-organizing. They have designated the infantry at CFB Edmonton as a domestic security force and in late july appointed a new base and unit commanders..
5) Canada has been recruiting since june african peacekeepers (from africa) no idea where they are being sent and the public info is really scarce
