Cohen doesn't understand compounding. The 6% increase last year and 4% increase this year is not 10% over 2 years. It is actually 10.24% increase over 2 years.
ReplyDeleteThat's correct - 6% increase = 1.06 times original, 4% increase on that = 1.04 times new price.
Delete(1.06)*(1.04) = 1.1024 => 10.24% increase,

edutcher, I try to keep up, really I do. I usually call it quits about 4:00pm PDT (7:00 pm EDT). I start again the next morning at around 5:00. That's when I catch up with emails ... then the blog.
