    Yeah but the lithium leach field is on the other side of the world in some Turd World sh*thole country and perhaps staffed by child slave labor or illiterate indigenous types, so nobody cares. "Save the environment" no matter the ecological and economic cost, as long as it's NIMBY.

    This field is in northeastern Chile by a lake called Salar de Atacama. This is estimated to contain almost 30% of the globe’s known lithium. The briny lake water is rich in lithium, which the flamingos seem to be able to deal with. But when the lake water drops - it takes 110K gallons of evaporated water to harvest a ton of lithium, and the mines pull up over 1000 gallons of lithium brine every second - the biomass decreases, and the flamingos go away. And that impacts the local tourism industry too. But once again, NIMBY.

    Meanwhile, let's get FJB to shut down some more coal plants, coal mines, oil fields, oil pipelines, refineries and whatever else to force "green" energy from solar (which is chock full of toxic chemicals and can't be recycled) and wind (which can not ever break even).

    Like everything else the Left pushes, it's BS from the top down and harmful to everyone except them.
