An observation from a Swedish engineer:
“The notion that a nation can run on sunshine and breezes is worse than delusional.
People might fall for the idea that we can merrily run on sunshine and breezes, alone, but with a few trillion dollars worth of mythical mega-batteries providing backup for a few minutes, when the sun sets and the wind stops blowing.
A two-megawatt w!ndmill is made up of 260 tons of steel that required 300 tons or iron ore and 170 tons of coking coal, all mined, transported and produced by hydrocarbons.
A w!ndmill could spin until it falls apart and never generate as much energy as was invested in building it.”
That wind was "soft" energy has been known for 50 years.
ReplyDeleteedutcher, Soft?
DeleteAs opposed to hard, such as coal or nucular.
Deleteedutcher, Ooooooh.
DeleteThose facts are "hard pills" for commie demonratz to swallow.
ReplyDeleteJeffery, commie bastards!
DeleteOne of the two realizations. The second is the resources required to manufacture an electric car battery. Neither is "green".
ReplyDeletetsquared, correctomundo.
DeleteHmm. Windmills can only generate when the wind is blowing, solar panels only when the sun is shining. So you need it windy at night to cover your lack of sun, or "mythical mega batteries".
ReplyDeletemer, it's all a part of the liberal Utopia.
DeleteWell said by all. You all be safe and God bless.
ReplyDeleteLindaG, must be true then.
