    #7) This is not completely accurate. New York State is considering the Dark Skies Protection Act, a proposed bill that would mandate turning off or shielding non-essential outdoor lighting between 11 PM and 5 AM.

    The bill has nothing to do with Mamdani; it was authored by Deborah Glick (State Assembly) and Brad Hoylman-Sigal (State Senate). An earlier version was introduced in 2022.

    Now, I'm not defending Mamdani, I can't stand most of the lawmakers in my state of NY. I just don't want the blame to go to Mamdani when it was the other libtards that introduced the bill.
