Hi all, I watched "Jack Reacher" for the first time
the other night. It was a really great movie, but what
really stood out was the beauty, Rosamund Pike, playing
the female lead.

I think is the most beautiful woman in the world is
Faith Hill. I think Rosamund is a very close second.

DeleteI don't disagree with you on Rosamund or Faith or the movie. One thing I found amusing in the movie was choice of Tom Cruise for the part of Jack Reacher. If you've read any of the Reacher series by Lee Child, you know Jack Reacher is a former MP, stereotypical "over 6ft over 200lb of muscle" and Tom I think is 5'9" in cowboy boots.

Another good movie is "Shooter" with Mark Wahlberg.
mer, I haven't read any of the books, but Mrs. Woodsterman has. She said the same as you as to not staying true to the character. I thought Tom Cruise did a great job though.
DeleteI agree that's she's a beautiful lady and a great actress , but to cast Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher was a very poor choice....I can't believe that Lee Child approved...

DeleteShe was in the 2007 movie "Fracture" which is one of my favorite movies. Bob Gunton plays Judge Gardner who is Pikes characters dad in the movie. Gunton makes this little speech to Ryan Gosling in the kitchen about being a prosecutor instead of a hot shot corporate lawyer that Pike wants him to be. "You know what nobody understands about certain kinds of low pay public service work, every now and then you get put a fucking stake in a bad guys heart. I'm not supposed to talk about that when I visit third grade classes for career day and it doesn't get you very far in the country club locker room, but its hard to beat when you actually get to do it."

DeleteMy wife made me watch "Pride and Prejudice" with her a few years ago. Rosamund Pike played the "pretty sister". Perfect casting. Imagine a younger and even hotter version of Rosamund back in 2005!!!!!
