DeleteThe Hwy 1 blockage comment assumes the CA politicians want to fix it. One consistent behavior on the Left is to force people to "behave correctly". And if the highway doesn't get fixed, then they can push the 'high speed rail' or other panaceas.

DeleteMore than a month ago I read article by someone who traced the ownership of some of the land purchased for placement of the high speed rail line. Owner applied for gov. grant because of it and received the money. Sold it quietly to new owner who applied for the same type of grant, received the money. Owner 3 then applied for grant, received the money. He stopped there. I guess the moral of the story is 'if we all work together we can scam the coffers of the gov. and make free money. Price went way up each time. California couldn't build a platform from Gavin's private restroom to his ass and bring it in under budget.
