DeleteThe Canadian military comparison is pretty much spot on. I was in the CF for 27 years reg and 10 full time reserve and, as always, we did what we could with what we had. Always underfunded, always asked to do more with less.

Basic in 1980, and DS in 1998 and the change was frightening . DS staff were all worried about getting harrassment charges filed against them because some pu$$y didn't like being yelled at.
I'm glad I'm out.... and Yeah I loved going on Ex with the US brothers in arms.
