DeleteThe two are not mutually exclusive. You could go back to calling it Armistice Day (make it a day about peace).
DeleteI was thinking abouit this and I'm really sick of (are you ready?) Muslim American Heritage Month (!!????!!!!!), Black History Month, Women's History Month, Arab-American Heritage Month (they get 2?), Asian American and Pacific Islander History, Hispanic Heritage Month, Native American History Month, not to mention months for us Micks, the Poles, the French, the Eyeties (Columbus Day was always good enough for them), the Krauts (Eisenhower, Eichelberger, Krueger, Wedemeyer), and the Filipinos (who went through Hell for us in WWII) for which none of us ever asked.
This is not about unity, it's about division. If giving the Vets a month helps stop all thios nonsense, I'm for it (sorry about the rant).
