Last one is Lake Tahoe from the southwest, overlooking the treeless area that is the Desolation Wilderness. Mt. Rose in Nevada (10,776 feet) is on the horizon. That's Highway 50 in the lower right of the picture, with Twin Bridges the last thing visible to the left.
Elmo, on the previous post you could have mentioned how you could see Truckee in the upper left corner surrounded by Martis, Prosser, and Donner lakes with I-80 going through it. I saw your comment there and feel you gave up way too easily.
I spent the entire summer of '81 hauling logs off of a burn on the Wrights Lake Road into Gardnerville, Nevada over Echo Summit and Luther Pass. I saw my first Bald Eagle just across the Nevada state line that year. Other than the traffic on Highway 50, it was a fun haul.
Put it here ... I can't wait to read it. I have the Captcha turned OFF but blogger insists it be there. You should be able to bypass it.

DeleteI shall be more be more consistently obnoxious in the future.
It's funny, I almost mentioned those three lakes in the previous post but then decided "Nah. I better not". Now I know better.
Thanks, Odie!
P.S. I thought it was a trip that Highway 50 stood out so plainly in that photo above.
Elmo, I don't like to give location often, but sometimes I cheat a little. I wouldn't have noticed Hwy 50 on my own.
