I'm a federal employee. It's disappointing to see how much my coworkers are freaking out.

DeletePutin using American uranium to make Russian nuclear weapons is chronologically a bit of a stretch. Both Russia and the US have tonnes of surplus plutonium laying around. The US did arrange to buy their surplus weapon-grade uranium from former USSR for conversion to commercial reactor fuel. At one point it was fueling 10 to 20% of America's electric generation.
