#6 Obama made it legal for the media to purposely lie to the American people. In 2012 he signed HR 4310 which allowed propaganda to be used on US citizens by its own government. Essentially repealing the Smith/Mundt act of a 1948, which banned the use of domestic propaganda
#9 (boys with beer) I heartily approve of this message, and would suggest better lifelong relationships that are bound by Beer. Garronteee they'll be high fiveing when they win! And in 50 years when their livers are failing they can look back on all the "good" times they had.
In the late 1940s, my grandma bought a GE refrigerator. When she lost her leg to diabetes in 1961, she moved in with my aunt and uncle and sold her home. My dad and uncles moved everything in the house and we ended up with that fridge and a TV and some other stuff. That fridge became our only fridge for about 15 years and when we got a newer, larger one, we moved it to the basement and still used it for beer, soda, etc. When I finished grad school in 1988, it became my wife’s and mine. We moved it in 1990 to our first house and a couple years later it again went into the basement. In 1996 when we moved across country it was still running fine after 50 years, but we conveyed it with the house because we planned to get a new one. I’m using a nice large fridge that we bought about 10 years ago, but I do not expect it to last 50 years.
Rob Muir, the best I can do is I bought one for our brand newly remodeled kitchen in 1991 and it's still going strong. Well hell, that's 33 years huh ... not bad.
My wife's grandparents 1950 GE "electric refrigerating machine" is still keeping the beer cold in my garage. That's 74 years and it's never had a repair or Freon charge. Ain't pretty but I think I'll keep it. Bubbarust
Put it here ... I can't wait to read it. I have the Captcha turned OFF but blogger insists it be there. You should be able to bypass it.

ReplyDeleteJeff C in NC, and it sounds like it dodged a hurricane. 60 years old too boot ... way to go. I hope the past events find you well also.
DeleteFake bacon and light beer should be crimes punishable by hanging.
ReplyDeleteIt's like getting a hug from a hooker who has a bigger bulge than you.
Grumpy, I'm with you, but that analogy ... was that a recent experience?
