DeleteThe democrat opposition to the Civil Rights Act gets brought up, but in reality, it was a HORRIBLE piece of legislation that destroyed private property rights in this country. While it was imperative to remove ALL of the government-imposed segregation laws, and to eliminate ALL discrimination in government (aka everyone FORCED TO PAY FOR) buildings and services, the entire PRIVATE SECTOR should have had their rights respected and protected.
