I remeber when they left Brooklyn. The end of life as we knew it.
ReplyDeleteWatching the Dodgers in the coliseum (1959-'61?) was weird. Left field was about 250 feet out with a 40 foot screen. Wally Moon, a lefty, would hit these slicing popups- "MoonShots". Been a Dodger fan ever since. Loved Frank Howard, Drysdale, Koufax.
ReplyDeleteI too remember when the Dodgers left Brooklyn. I was a Yankees fan, so it really did not matter to me. By the way, I was 12 years old in 1958.
ReplyDeleteThe image of the young dude on the motor scooter it hilarious!!!
Grabbed 2 boxes of wine for the wife and a 50lb sack of potatoes. I should be good. If she runs out I Google how to make vodka from potatoes but planing on storing and eating the potatoes. It was less than $20 for the potatoes.
