I grew up watching Red Skelton. I loved the show then, and still watch clips of him whenever I can. I had some of his clown paintings, but they disappeared along with the ex. I believe he was the funniest man alive, and without using a single curse word.

DeleteRed Skeleton, the kindest man in show business in all of my 65 years on earth. Some people today come close, but nobody out does his warmth or humor. I feel blessed to have grown up with people like him as my public role models.

ReplyDeletethanks for this clip. I watched him every chance I could in the 50s n 60s especially. an old Zenith b&w. I was the remote control. hard to believe USA was so clean (morally) and innocent.
I also appreciate much, the Ben Johnson story. I always liked him somehow. I guess coz he was the real deal.
