I grew up watching Red Skelton. I loved the show then, and still watch clips of him whenever I can. I had some of his clown paintings, but they disappeared along with the ex. I believe he was the funniest man alive, and without using a single curse word.
GunnyFrank Not as lean, not as mean, but always a Marine.
Red Skeleton, the kindest man in show business in all of my 65 years on earth. Some people today come close, but nobody out does his warmth or humor. I feel blessed to have grown up with people like him as my public role models. His rendition of the Pledge of Allegiance is possibly the greatest short monologue of all time. Continue to RIP, friend I never met.
Dang! thanks for this clip. I watched him every chance I could in the 50s n 60s especially. an old Zenith b&w. I was the remote control. hard to believe USA was so clean (morally) and innocent. I also appreciate much, the Ben Johnson story. I always liked him somehow. I guess coz he was the real deal.
you are a daily read for, I reckon, 16, 17 years now. mind your health well.
Put it here ... I can't wait to read it. I have the Captcha turned OFF but blogger insists it be there. You should be able to bypass it.
