  1. I love the last one. A lot of men did not want to go, but they did. My wife's brother went to Canada, but came back, and was drafted, and he served his time. I never had the chance to meet him. He died at 25, in WA state, of a bad heart.
He was my wife's big brother, and he doted on her. I am sorry I missed meeting him. It takes a lot of guts to come back and face your fate, for a war you don't believe in.
He was actually president of the young Republicans at college, before he left. Strange young man.

  3. You don't know the half of it, first and last, but especially the first. As to the last, think about all the young cowboys or colonial farm boys at 13, armed to the teeth and providing for their family.

  7. I was 19 when I joined. They made me go down to the post office to sign up for selective service before they would take me. Bunch of maroons.

    1. Pointing&Laughing, LOL. You were only a year late. That just shows you the military has different bureaucrats.

Put it here ... I can't wait to read it. I have the Captcha turned OFF but blogger insists it be there. You should be able to bypass it.
