I saw the original episode and I've watched it multiple times since every Thanksgiving and laughed every time. Not to mention I've used Carlson's line "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly". Still the best closing line I've ever seen on any show.
Classic comedy. Notice how they did the whole thing with dialogue, sound, and just a few people running by. You never actually see a helicopter or a turkey. No flashy special effects. They let the audience build a picture with imagination and created something nobody will ever forget.
Put it here ... I can't wait to read it. I have the Captcha turned OFF but blogger insists it be there. You should be able to bypass it.

That's a classic!

ReplyDeletePaul V, it's become a tradition here, and I also love Carlson's line.
DeleteBailey over Jennifer every day. Just like Mary Ann over Ginger. Maintenance costs are critical.
ReplyDeleteMrLiberty, Hi maintenance indeed, just ask Bert.

ReplyDeleteJeff C. Happy Turkey Day!
