  4. The ENTIRE western medical CARTEL is protected from competition from the federal level all the way down to the local levels. Professional licensure, business permits, advertising restrictions, drug laws, the FDA, the DEA, insurance regulations, the protection of the insurance cartel, Medicare, Medicaid, and so, so, so, so, so, so, much more. If ALL you care about is cheaper DRUGS, then you have already fallen into the trap of bigPharma and their sickness perpetuation machine. Drugs do NOT need to be less expensive. They need to be LESS PRESCRIBED, LESS CONSUMED, and LESS NEEDED.

  5. people freak out when they say "asbestos" but if it's not airborne and you're not breathing it in it's not a problem. a turbine in the ocean..or anywhere for that matter..would have to explode, and people would have to be both downwind and in close proximity for asbestos to be an issue. if you've got someone blowing up wind turbines next to you I'd say there are bigger fish to fry at that moment.

  6. Protecting the border with deadly force to help protect the American dream should never need to be questioned

  7. Protecting our borders is in The Constution . . something they're supposed to do.

So I'm a little iffy on why so many are against it. Oh right, they hate America, make it a third world country, in league with Lucifer, got it.

  8. The actual reason American's pay the most for drugs is every other country in the world has laws that restrict drug prices to just over the marginal cost of production. That means that drug companies can only recoup the cost of drug development here in the USA. This is made worse by how the patent laws work. The countdown for patent expiration starts as soon as the patent is applied for, rather than once the drug is approved for use. Typically, 2/3 of the patent protection has expired before the drug can be sold. Only about 10% of new drugs are approved for use, and typical costs to bring a new drug to market is $2.6 Billion. Those costs can essentially only be recouped from sales in the USA. So it costs $2.6 billion to sell pill #1, but if pill #2 costs 95 cents to make, all the other countries in the world will only allow it to be sold for $1. The company has maybe 6 years to make up the development cost, and to do so with a 5 cent profit would mean selling 52 billion pills, which works out to slightly more than 1 pill for every person on the planet each of the 6 years before the patent protection expires.

This is why 95% of all new drugs developed since WWII have been developed in the USA. Companies in other countries can't recoup the development costs, so drugs are almost exclusively developed here in the USA.

  9. Having worked for Medicare, I can tell you the "negotiations" with pharma companies is anything but that. (your meme is old as well). Passed under Biden, Medicare currently does "negotiate" with drug companies on the top 10 largest (by cost) drugs Medicare pays for however this is the same type of "negotiations" that the mob bosses engage in. It is essentially the government saying here's what we will pay for these drugs, if you don't like it, we will take the drugs and any profits you make over that price. The volumes sold through Medicare/Medicaid are so big for the pharma companies that they have no choice but to accept the price, there is no actual back and forth negotiating between the entities.

    2. I don't deny that. It's as Dec 27th Anon noted, we in the US pay for the R&D on most new drugs and the rest of the world takes advantage of it. (Much as they have on everything since WWII - we spend our country's blood and treasure on protecting those POS food, oil, etc and get next to nothing in return.)
