DeleteSpending money on frivolous things in college is even worse than not paying back your loan. That money IS borrowed, so the thousands you spend ends up being TENS of thousands in payback.
ReplyDeleteMany of my classmates in med school spent extravagantly on vacations and clubbing because they were told that student loans are a "drop in the bucket". I ate Ramen and didn't go on vacations, etc. because I KNEW that I had to pay the money back. Wasting college loans like this is the epitome of stupid.
TVMA, High Schools and parents don't teach this anymore.
