How about unplugging it and NEVER plugging it in again? Dissolution of the federal government, allowing the 50 once-sovereign states to go their own way, and hopefully a mass dissolution of the 50 into hundreds of something more manageable and more in tune with the wishes of the citizenry, might be the ONLY thing that keeps the inevitable mass bloodshed and destructive civil war from happening.
