Since lawmakers are the caretakers and makers of our law then they should also be the ones who are watched the most, if that scares them then they should not be where they are.
#1 Steel made in Canada has a country of origin stamp. I've seen it. Used it. #2 Trump said that Canada doesn't allow US banks to operate in Canada. There are 16 different US banks operating in Canada at this moment. #3 Canada is cheating on the dairy trade. Nope Canada was allowed to sell a certain amount of Dairy goods to the US and that's it. They came to the trade limit twice over the years but never exceeded it. They don't buy much Dairy from US as they have lots of their own. #5 Canada is cheating on soft wood lumber subsidies. Nope. 5 times USA took Canada to the world trade council and 5 times they ruled that Canada had not subsidized the lumber industry unfairly. The list goes on. But the Media lies and so does trump.
The House agenda for this entire four-day stretch includes:
Voting on a stopgap funding bill to kick the can to December A resolution denouncing socialism (yes, really — that's a floor vote) A couple of committee hearings
That's it. No Farm Bill. No NDAA. No actual appropriations. Just performative posturing and a punt on the budget, then back to the airport. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) said it out loud: "We don't have anything to do, so let's get home, let's go home and answer the public." Translation: we're not even pretending to legislate.
If you can't hold your job working two and a half days a week while producing nothing of substance, you don't deserve the salary, the pension, or the power. Why would they? The system is designed for their comfort, not your representation.
Put it here ... I can't wait to read it. I have the Captcha turned OFF but blogger insists it be there. You should be able to bypass it.
