My son parachuted with a special forces dog once. It's handler (who jumped separately) told him the dog would be docile as can be on the jump and all the way down. However, once on the ground, the moment the handler had disconnected the dog, my son was to turn and run as fast as humanly possible away from the dog because the dog would go into attack mode on him. And it did try. Paybacks from the dog we figured.
