    Every empire in decline starts eating its own legal framework to sustain the illusion of control. Rome did it. Britain did it. And now the Supreme Court is doing it — shredding due process for green card holders while the dollar inflates, the war in Iran bleeds billions, and the domestic economy wheezes. Can't fix the rot, so they find a scapegoat class to brutalize. Textbook.

      I don't think we're in decline just yet. As Insty put it a while ago, it's the Left that's in decline. 50 years of runaway socialism capped by the lockdown, the Shot, Pride Month, and Juneteenth (and their equivalents of the last two) and people are fed up.

    So no mention of the fact that SNAP is implicitly UNCONSTITUTIONAL, but plenty of thoughts on preventing the government from putting restrictions on how the STOLEN HANDOITS are spent. Oh what a great government we have...LOL

    Dem's keep threatening to pack the court. If the dem's hope of taking the congress this fall happens Trump needs to start packing the court before they start. Can you imagine those 3 bubble heads with more of their kind?

      Kagan at least tries to touch ground with reality. And the Demos' hopes rest solely on the prospect that the party in power (almost) always loses seats in the midterms.

    $50MM is chicken feed to a company like Merck. A rounding error. Its rolled into the cost of business. Very likely they charged it against their tax liability. Could it be the fine was a benefit to the bottom line?
