One evening on The Tonight Show, Johnny Carson's guest was Mrs. Arnold Palmer. When he asked her if there was anything special that she did the night before a big tournament to bring him luck she replied "Yes, there is. I rub his balls." To which Carson replied, "I'll bet that makes his putter stand up."
It was almost as good as the Ed Ames hatchet throwing demonstration.
