I agree. Those were the days. I vividly remember seeing a video of Johnny Carson lecturing his audience and lecturing Hollywood by saying something like: Entertainers are paid to entertain. There is no reason whatsoever for entertainers to make their politics known. God bless Johnny Carson.
Flip was a breakthrough comic. Sadly, died way too young. Died of liver cancer at 64. I guess those cigarettes he used as a prop was a poor idea. His character Geraldine Jones was unbelievable.
