To my fellow Vets ... Thanks Guys and Gals!

It was so needed and appreciated.

  6. I always think of you with great affection and gratitude on this day.

It is fitting that on this Veterans Day we remember the words of President Ronald Reagan at the Vietnam Veterans Wall on November 11, 1988:

“Our young friends—yes, young friends, for in our hearts you will always be young, full of the love that is youth, love of life, love of joy, love of country—you fought for your country and for its safety and for the freedom of others with strength and courage. We love you for it. We honor you. And we have faith that, as He does all His sacred children, the Lord will bless you and keep you, the Lord will make His face to shine upon you and give you peace, now and forever more.''

  11. The vehicle behind that ugly grunt in the photo reminds me of the days I was given a duece and a half to haul my squad around in. For every hour of driving it, there was about 8 hours of PMCS (Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services), washing, painting, etc. We spent more time in the motor pool by far than actually using the vehicle. My particular duece and a half was a Studebaker made in the 1950's, a real piece o' shit. I began to hate those God awful trucks, but after a few decades have passed, I now kinda miss 'em.

  14. Fredd, I absolutely loved that truck. That old girl got me out of more tight squeezes than I can remember. As the company scrounger, among my other duties, I put 20,000 miles on that sweetheart, and she never skipped a beat.
